You’d expect to see these stars in Oscar-winning films or glamorous red carpets, but did you know that even top-tier actors have their fair share of Razzie nominations? That’s right, even Hollywood’s finest can land from the Oscars straight to the most shameful of awards.

Eddie Murphy

Eddie Murphy, the comedic genius, hit a rough patch in the 2000s, leading to a Razzie reign. At the 28th Golden Raspberry Awards, Murphy snagged five nominations for his roles in “Norbit,” clinching three wins—including Worst Actor and Supporting Actor. Making history, he’s the sole actor to scoop three Razzies for one film.

Halle Berry

Halle Berry, often misunderstood by Hollywood, has seen it all. While she’s capable of greatness, not every role does her justice. Case in point: “Catwoman,” the 2004 flop that earned her a Razzie for Worst Actress. But here’s the twist—Berry showed up to accept the award, thanking her manager for convincing her to take on the project, even when he knew it was garbage. Now that’s owning it!

Madonna

Madonna might be an iconic singer, but she hasn’t faired well in the acting world, and the 15 Razzie nominations are proof! And on top of that, she’s won the award nine times too! That’s just embarrassing. Films like “Shanghai Surprise” and “Swept Away” just didn’t wow critics, but if it’s any consolation for Madonna, she’s the reigning queen of the Razzies! A win is a win, right?

Sylvester Stallone

Sylvester Stallone, love him or hate him, dominates the Razzies like no other. With fifteen Worst Actor nominations and three for Worst Supporting Actor, he’s practically become a spokesman for all ‘worst’ acting. And yet, let’s not forget, this is the same man who’s brought us “Rocky” – and some of the more memorable, powerful acting that was much admired in Razzie circles as it was lauded on the Oscar stage. But then, will he add more golden raspberries to his collection this year?

Robert DeNiro

Even the mighty Robert DeNiro isn’t immune to a Razzie nod. Hard to believe, right? While his iconic performances in classics like “Goodfellas” and “Taxi Driver” might have earned him all the applause, all “Dirty Grandpa” got him was a bunch of boos – and a nomination in the Worst Actor category. Now, that’s a fall from grace if we ever saw one! Was this a bold move or just a mistake is up for debate. After all, isn’t versatility what makes a true star shine?

Sean Penn

Remember Sean Penn, the intense actor with a dangerous edge? Well, even the best stumble sometimes. Back in 1986, before he became the acting legend we know today, he made the fatal mistake of starring in “Shanghai Surprise”. Boy, was that film bad luck! An absurd blend of adventure, comedy, and romance, the Sean Penn we know today, he starred in “Shanghai Surprise” alongside none other than Madonna. The movie, a mishmash of comedy, adventure, and romance, the film bombed like no other, making both its leads the stars of the Razzies.

Michael Caine

Who would’ve known that the iconic Michael Caine, winner of two Oscar awards, would ever be featured in the Razzies? There’s bound to be some highs and lows in a career spanning over eight decades, but this low was genuinely surprising. The star has not one, not two, but multiple Razzie nominations to his career, the most memorable one for his role in “Jaws: The Revenge”.

Peter O’Toole

Yes, you heard right! Peter O’Toole, Mr. Lawrence of Arabia himself, has also seen some bad days in La La Land. The actor snagged nods for Worst Actor, for his performance in “Supergirl”. No surprises there, that film flopped miserably. But it doesn’t end there – O’Toole also landed squarely in the Worst Supporting Actor category for “Club Paradise”. While the film didn’t quite shine, O’Toole’s performance certainly did. The Razzies ultimately went elsewhere, sparing Peter from their dubious honor.

Jack Nicholson

Even Hollywood icon Jack Nicholson isn’t immune to the odd misstep. In 1992, the Razzies raised eyebrows by nominating him for Worst Actor not once, but twice—for “Man Trouble” and “Hoffa.” While “Man Trouble” fell flat, Nicholson’s performance in “Hoffa” wasn’t universally panned. However, the Razzies’ picks for that year left many scratching their heads, and Nicholson managed to avoid being targeted by the Razzies.

Kirk Douglas

Kirk Douglas is another shocking addition to this list, but the man should’ve known what he was getting into when he signed “Saturn 3”. Although Douglas and actress Farrah Fawcett tried their best, they couldn’t save the science fiction tragedy from crashing and burning. Criticised for gratuitous scenes and an absolutely absurd plot, the film earned Douglas and Razzie nomination for Worst Actor. Poor guy!

Sandra Bullock

Jaws dropped all over the world when THE Sandra Bullock happily accepted the Golden Raspberry for her performance in” All About Steve”. In a hilarious twist, she even brought a wagon full of the DVD from the film to share with the audience. While “All About Steve” may have been a literal miss for her, she turned right around and within just 24 hours went from a Razzie to holding an Oscar for her role in “The Blind Side.

Al Pacino

Al Pacino has gone from Oscar glory to Razzie shame, where he is infamous with each step. From iconic performances to eyebrow-raising choices, his career has seen it all. With eight nods at the Oscars, including a win for “Scent of a Woman,” and you’d think he’s untouchable. But hold up! He’s got a Razzie nomination. I mean, seriously? No win for “The Godfather”? And then there’s “Jack and Jill” – yikes!

Diane Keaton

Diane Keaton stole hearts as Annie Hall became an icon of the modern woman. While she garnered Oscar nods, Keaton also snagged a Razzie nod for “Because I Said So,” a 2007 comedy filled with cringe-worthy slapstick. Portraying an overbearing mom trying to fix her daughter’s love life, Keaton delivered despite the lackluster script. Lucky for her, Lindsay Lohan’s “erotic” thriller ensured Keaton dodged a Razzie win.

Christopher Walken

Christopher Walken, the man with the iconic voice and captivating presence, surprised many when he found himself on the Razzie radar not once, but twice. Can you believe it? In 2002 and 2003, Walken earned nods for Worst Supporting Actor in films like “The Country Bears,” “Kangaroo Jack,” and “Gigli.” But let’s be real; he’s the only reason those movies are even watchable!

Ben Affleck

Despite acclaim for directing and screenwriting, Ben Affleck’s acting career has seen its share of Razzie nods. His first win came in 2004 for “Paycheck,” “Daredevil,” and the infamous “Gigli.” Yet, redemption arrived in 2014 with the Razzie Redeemer Award for “Argo” and “Gone Girl.” Still, he couldn’t escape Razzie’s wrath, clinching Worst Screen Combo for “Batman v Superman.”

Jennifer Lopez

J. Lo might be the ultimate double threat with her excellence in singing and acting, but even she couldn’t escape the Razzie radar. Guess Gigli was unlucky for both Ben Affleck and his beau. And the bad luck doesn’t end there. Lopez’s performance “The Mother” got her yet another nomination, for Worst Actress no less. From the highest of highs with Hustlers and its Oscar buzz, to the lowest of lows with the Razzies, J. Lo really has seen it all.

Adam Sandler

Who does slap-dash comedy better than the iconic Adam Sandler? Despite his hilarious acting, though, the man has been dragged time and time again by the Razzies. We’re talking twelve Worst Actor nominations! That’s gotta hurt. While films like “Jack and Jill” were less than appealing, classics like “Uncut Gems” and “The Meyerowitz Stories” continue to prove this actor’s pure talent!

Demi Moore

Demi Moore’s career has seen highs and lows, but her Razzie wins stand out. Despite her highest-paid actress status, Moore’s performances in “Striptease” and “The Juror” led to double trouble at the Razzies. Even her bold role in “G.I. Jane” didn’t escape Razzie scrutiny. With six Worst Actress nominations, Moore’s Razzie legacy rivals her Hollywood success.

Tyler Perry

Tyler Perry’s Madea movies are iconic, but his drag performances have landed him in Razzie territory. With five Worst Actress nominations, Perry’s cross-dressing antics stir up both laughs and Razzie nods. From “Madea’s Family Reunion” to “Madea Goes to Jail,” Perry’s transformations take center stage, earning him a spot in the Razzie Hall of Fame.

Amy Irving

Did you know Amy Irving pulled off a rare feat of snagging nominations at both the Oscars and the Razzies for the same role? Yup, for her performance in “Yentl,” she clinched a nod for Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards, but also found herself listed among the contenders for Worst Supporting Actress at the Razzies.

Melissa McCarthy

Having Melissa McCarthy, the queen of comedy, on this list is truly sad. But while the powerhouse actress has gotten love from the Academy for her role in “Can You Ever Forgive Me?”, she has unfortunately also gotten love from the Razzies, for her performances in “Life of the Party” and “The Happytime Murders”. McCarthy’s work has led her to some strange places, like solving puppet murders, and it’s gotten her praise and critique in equal measure!

Barbra Streisand

The darling of stage and screen, Barbra Streisand, faced an absurd twist at the Razzies. Sure, “Little Fockers” and “The Guilt Trip” weren’t exactly cinematic masterpieces, but did they warrant Razzie nods? It gets weirder. The real head-scratcher came with her nomination for “Yentl” as Worst Actor, all because of a cross-dressing plot twist. Hollywood, are you serious?

Pauly Shore

Once a Hollywood hopeful, Pauly Shore’s film career dived, earning him four Razzie awards. From “Encino Man” to “Bio-Dome,” his roles fueled Razzie’s ridicule. Winning Worst New Star and Worst Actor, Shore’s cinematic misfires landed him in the Razzie Hall of Shame.

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton, known for her socialite status, surprised everyone with her Razzie wins. She grabbed five awards, including Worst Actress and Supporting Actress, for her roles in movies like “House of Wax” and “Repo! The Genetic Opera.” Despite her Razzie success, Hilton shifted focus to her music career after her last win.
